Garmin Approach S2 GPS Golf Watch Details
The Garmin Approach S2 GPS Golf Watch is a stylish watch that just happens to be a highly sensitive GPS receiver. The S2 comes pre-loaded with 30,000 courses from around the world and gives you yardages to the front, back and middle of the green, plus layup and dogleg distances for each hole on each course. It also measures precise yardages for shots played from anywhere on the course. If you're one who likes to walk, there's an odometer to track how far you've gone.
The Approach S2 lets you easily keep track of your score and then download, save and print following your round. It has a sunlight-viewable screen with large font for easy visibility, an alarm and auto-time zone recognition. This GPS is rugged, lightweight, waterproof (up to 10m) and stylish.

Product Review:
The Garmin approach S2 is a nice golfwatch. Just in between the S1 and S3. I like the layup and dogleg option. Ist good for 2 rounds before the battery is empty. Its a pitty that Garmin does not provide or include maps of 1/3 of the world. Asia the upcomming golf region is not included. So actualy their statment about anywhere at your vacation location it can be used is not true. Far from.

how do I know when my garmin S1 is fully charged? Is there some indicator on the front, like the word GARMIN with and up arrow at the end of the word Garmin? Does the battery show a 100% wording icon or something? When it is fully charged, can I verify this someway? Can I open some app on my computer when it is connected through the USB port to the Garmin and verify the amount charge? Thanks...

Garmin updates the available courses continually. With 30,000 available, it's hard to imagine you will need to find courses that are not pre-loaded; however, you can find all the available courses, and update your Garmin Approach S2 GPS Golf Watch, by going to the Garmin site. The Garmin S2 and S3 GPS Sport watches are of the same generation. The S3 has a touch screen, slightly better resolution and slightly longer battery life in watch mode (4 weeks vs 3 weeks).
