 Franklyn D. ResortGeorgian-Mediterranean in architecture, FDR is located in Runaway Bay on a 600' private beach along Jamaica's north coast, amongst lush foliage on the Caribbean Sea. This all-inclusive resort features all meals, open bar, wine with lunch and dinner, entertainment, sports facilities, adult activities, teen activities and a Mini Club for children. The most unique aspect of this resort is its Vacation Nanny concept whereby each family gets their own personal nanny to attend to their every need. Your friendly Vacations Nanny will babysit and be a companion to your children, thus enabling parents to capture the flavour of being in a Jamaican home while on holiday. The resort boasts a fully supervised mini-club featuring a range of activities for children and a program designed for teenagers, while adults are free to indulge in a variety of watersports and other sporting activities offered at the resort. All guest suites have been recently refurbished.

The Verandah Restaurant - Situated on the boardwalk over the ocean, serving International cuisine in a family atmosphere. Breakfast and lunch are served buffet-style, while dinners are a la carte. A la carte dinner is served 4 nights per week in this restaurant and there are sumptuous buffets on the other nights including our Saturday nights which are famous for our Jamaican buffets.
The Pier Restaurant - Dining at this adults-only restaurant, is in a romantic atmosphere by the ocean where the sound of gentle waves lapping the shore perfectly compliments the setting. Parents will delight in the Italian cuisine and the service is a la carte. There are elaborate antipasta displays including offerings of squid, escargot, a choice of salads, soups and entrees and tempting desserts and cheeses.
The Kidz Buffet - After an energetic and active day, children can dine in this kid-friendly restaurant, which serves kids meals only. Here a well-balanced meal served buffet-style on low tables welcomes kids. Your children's favorite foods like spaghetti and meatballs, macaroni and cheese, chicken nuggets, fish fingers, soups, a selection of healthy salads, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, hot dogs and hamburgers are some of Teetos' specialties. Fruits and juices, milk, strawberry-flavored milk and chocolate milk, ice creams, and after-dinner dessert treats are also available. After dinner there is Ping Pong, Pool, Air Hockey, and Foosball also in Teetos to keep the kids entertained until the Kiddies Disco opens.
The Overproof Restaurant - Our newest addition, The Overproof Restaurant specializes in authentic Jamaican cuisine. Open for dinner only 5 evenings per week from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Located on the beach and decorated in true Jamaican red, gold and green, guests can dine on such ethnic delights as escoveitched fish and bammy, oxtail and curried conch. Adults only.
Beach Grill - For all-day snacks, featuring popular Jamaican specialties like beef patties, mouth-watering jerk pork and jerk chicken, simmered in your choice of spicy or not spicy sauces. An of course there are the all time favorites like pizzas, hamburger, hot dog, and a salad bar. Open from morning till night. |
