General Information

When you enter La Quinta Resort & Club, the valet may not be the first to greet you. Likely, it will be the exhilarating fragrance of our pervasive orange blossoms. Simply walking throughout our spectacular 45-acre resort is an aromatherapy experience in itself.  The relaxing warmth of the golden sun reminds you that this is the desert. Yet there is water everywhere: 41 pools, 52 whirlpools and the refreshing mist created by delightful waterfalls and fountains.  Our one- and two-story architecture invites expansive views of the desert. In fact, the only high-rises in sight are the surrounding Santa Rosa Mountains. Spanish hacienda-style casitas are nestled in cozy enclaves, creating our resort’s legendary sense of privacy. That’s why, since our opening in 1926, we’ve been the favorite retreat of Hollywood legends like Garbo, Gable and Capra. Today, our guests include the new generation of celebrities whose first names alone are enough to identify them. Tennis, Recreation and Dining

Our tennis facility is as legendary as the world-class tennis pros who play here. We offer 23 courts and three surfaces: hard, clay and grass. Instruction is offered by USPTA-certified pros, video school and clinics taught by visiting celebrity champions. Work out in Fitness La Quinta – our state-of-the-art fitness center – or swim in your choice of 41 pools. Explore miles of paths on foot or bike.
